India or Nepal?

January 23, 2009 Leave a comment Go to comments

The recently released film “Chandani Chowk to China” claims India to be the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. I even wrote a letter to Warner Bros Production drawing attention to the wrong claim. Bandas and strikes are probably around the corner, but I urge ordinary Nepali citizens to respond to this in an intelligent manner. As Einstein said, “Any fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage — to move in the opposite direction.” Let us try to move in the opposite direction.
